Xtina Bio

Christina Maria Aguilera was born on December 18, 1980 in Staten Island, New York. When she was quite young her parents divorced and she lived with her mother.

At the age of 12 Christina auditioned for the Mickey Mouse Club (1993) and hoped to start her career in singing. She landed the part and remained on there until the show ended. 

After the show she beagn her own recorging and in 1999 she had her breakthrough hit, "Genie in a Bottle". This was mainly a hit in the Asia and she didn't become a big star in the United States until she created a song for the soundtrack of a the animated Disney movie, Mulan.

Her music at the beginning of her career from her first album was very pop related but as the artist grew up, her music became more adult related and sexual. In 2002 her new Single "Dirrty" was released and was a hit but what astonished the critics was the music video for the song. People began expressing much opinion over her new sexual woman image. The video was banded in Thailand because of the explicit posters displayed in the background of the video.

In 2006 Christina calmed her image and released her album "Back To Basic" which still had the sexual appeal but perhaps not as controversial.

Since this Christina has married and has given birth to her son, Max, and has appeared to put her music career on hold...but hopefully not for too long. We can't wait to see what else this artist has in store.
